MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. June 11, 2001 - Verisity Ltd. (Nasdaq: VRST), a leading provider of functional verification automation tools, today announced that STMicroelectronics has selected Specman Elite(TM) as their testbench automation tool of choice for ST bus-based products. Multiple divisions within ST are using Specman Elite on projects ranging from CPUs and video processors to communication devices. ST chose Specman Elite for it’s ability to enable verification reuse, produce higher quality designs and automate the verification process.

One of the great successes in ST was the development of an e Verification Component (eVC(TM)) for the ST bus. The ST bus is a proprietary bus standard used throughout ST for communication between different modules.
